Smart3D has not approved any changes or modifications to this device by the user. Any changes or modifications could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
Interference statement
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1) this device may not cause interference, and
2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.
Wireless notice
This device complies with FCC/ISED radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines and RSS‐102 of the ISED radio frequency (RF) Exposure rules. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
Electrical Safety
The KODAK Portrait 3D Printer has been tested according to IEC 60950 and IEC 62368-1 applicable to low voltage devices. The KODAK Portrait 3D printer is an industrial machine, and as such you must read the instructions before using it. It is not intended for use by children under the age of 14 without proper supervision, nor by people with reduced manual, motor, and psychomotor skills.
- This device has an automatic voltage switch. Ensure the product is well-grounded. Failure to ground the product may result in electrical shock or susceptibility to electromagnetic interference.
- Avoid overloading an electrical outlet with multiple devices. This device consumes up to 320W, about the same as a powerful desktop PC.
- To prevent short-circuit overloads, overheating and damage use only the power cable supplied with the product. Do not damage, cut or repair the power cable.
- Do not disassemble the product, there are no user serviceable parts inside. If you experience any problems, please contact your local Service Representative. See User Guide / Warranty section below.
Moving Parts
Keep the printer door closed to retain the heat for best print results. Keep hands, hair and loose clothing clear of all moving parts during printing for safety.
This equipment is not suitable for use in locations where children are likely to be present unsupervised.
Hot Surfaces
The HotEnds and the heated bed can reach temperatures above 100°C. To reduce the risk of injury from a hot component, allow the surface to cool before touching it. And always use safety gloves and tweezers to grab the hot melted filament. The display will show you the current temperatures at all times.
